I joined Tricia Barr, B.J. Priester, and Kay to talk about George Lucas, Episode VII, and Rebels on their new podcast, Hyperspace Theories. The audio is embedded below. I was particularly interested in Lucas' quotes from 1983 about his ideas for a Sequel Trilogy. As you can tell by the sidebar quote, I'm interested in but not bound to what Lucas says about Star Wars: I find it fascinating that his personal aesthetic and interests, including race cars and fantastical landscapes, inform his space opera.
We also talked a bit about The Clone Wars, and how the Prequel Trilogy contains some of the same big themes as the Original Trilogy.
